Esha Deol has so far shunned item numbers. But for Rohit Shetty's movie ‘Sunday', she has made an exception.

When the film's producer Kumar Mangat first sent a message to Esha to do an item song in ‘Sunday', the actress showed no interest. But then, Mangat personally called Esha and asked her if she would do the song. Esha laid down a condition. She said she would do the song only if it was better than ‘Beedi Jalaile' in ‘Omkara'.

When Esha heard the song, titled ‘Kya Kashmakash Hai', she liked it immensely and agreed to do it.

The song, sung by Shivani Kashyap and choreographed by Ganesh Acharya, comes in the film's pre-climax scenes. It shows Esha dancing in a nightclub. The song also features the movie's stars – Ajay Devgan, Irrfan Khan, Ayesha Takia, Arshad Warsi and Anjana Sukhani.

The item has more than a thousand dancers as extras. ‘Sunday' also features Tusshar Kapoor in a special song appearance.
