The film is a compilation of 10 stories and Masumeh features opposite Jimmy Shergill in one of them, titled High on the Highway written by Vishal Bharadwaj. "The stories are about relationships and varied emotions embedded in people's lives. Each story has a message to give," explains Masumeh.
Though she hasn't yet found her niche in Bollywood yet, Masumeh is not complaining. "I welcome everything that comes my way. None of my previous movies have done well commercially, but I am satisfied with it. Today, it's an advantage for those who join the industry young as they get a lot of publicity with films being hyped even before they are released. Media plays a vital role in it," the Canada-born says.
Nevertheless, recognition for hard work always feels good. "I felt great when I was recognised for my roles in Maqbool and Woh Lamhe. I love playing distinct characters each time," says the Bharatanatyam and Kathak enthusiast.
As of now, Masumeh has two other projects Alibagh and another yet-to-be-titled film in her kitty. And she is more than willing to work with Vishal Bharadwaj again provided "he has the right film and I have the dates". Choosy, slow and steady that she is, Masumeh has even appointed agents in London and Los Angeles, who got her Das Kahania. Hope the hare and tortoise tale doesn't go wrong with Masumeh.
