The junior Shetty lass appears in a sizzling hot dancing number Sharara Sharara in Yash Chopra's Mere Yaar Ki Shaadi Hai.Sharara Sharara is sung by none other than Asha Bhonsle and Shamita is in the film only for that song.Dusky Bengali beauty Bipasha Basu also appears in a guest role in Mere Yaar Ki Shaadi Hai.

She does not have any song in the film.Mere Yaar Ki Shaadi Hai stars Yash Chopra's son Uday Chopra, Jimmy Shergill and newcomer Sanjana in the lead roles. The film is said to be inspired from Hollywood's romantic comedy ‘My Best Friend`s Wedding', which starred Julia Roberts, Cameron Diaz and Dermot Mulroney.

Mere Yaar Ki Shaadi Hai is slated to hit the theatres on June 7, the day Sunny Deol's ‘23rd March 1931 Shaheed' and Raj Kumar Santoshi's ‘The Legend of Bhagat Singh' also release.
