The Badshah of Bollywood is not going to like this one bit. Ater all the hype, accolades and bouquets his film Devdas is winning across the world, the crew is sure that the credit does not belong to Shahrukh Khan. Director Sanjay Leela Bhansali is the man who made it possible for the star to live his on-screen part.
Bhansali, a stickler for detail, laboriously factored every little detail about the character of Devdas into the script. All that Shahrukh had to do was carry out instructions.
That the Khan followed each and every bidding of the director is apparent in the strength of his performance. But shouldn`t Bhansali be given due acknowledgement? In all his interviews to the foreign press, Shahrukh has been crowing about his "dedication," and "love for acting." Sadly, when it comes to sharing the honours, Shahrukh uses praise sparingly. Unless the directors are `great buddies` like Aditya Chopra and Karan Johar!
