Continuing the journey of their five-track EP AARZU, Mumbai-based indie-pop duo KhoslaRaghu release ‘Mile Jo Sukoon’, the second song from the project. Love isn't always about finding someone. Sometimes, it's about learning to live with the feeling they leave behind. Through heartfelt lyricism and intimate melodies, ‘Mile Jo Sukoon’ captures the bittersweet comfort of loving someone who feels like your peace, but can never truly be yours.
Built around delicate melodies and heartfelt lyricism, Mile Jo Sukoon tells the story of finding peace in someone you cannot call your own. They become your source of comfort, your safe place amidst the chaos, yet remain just beyond your reach. Rather than relying on grand declarations, the song finds its strength in fleeting moments, lingering memories and emotions left unsaid. Adding another layer of emotion is the stirring esraj performance by renowned musician Arshad Khan, whose expressive playing beautifully mirrors the song's tenderness. The track closes with a gentle humming by Prateeksha Srivastava, leaving behind a warmth that quietly lingers even after the music fades.
Like the rest of AARZU, Mile Jo Sukoon draws from the complicated and often contradictory emotions that accompany love. While Bewajah explores the excitement of falling for someone, Mile Jo Sukoon finds beauty in distance, patience and acceptance. Together, the songs gradually unfold the many shades of longing that form the heart of the EP.
Speaking about the song, KhoslaRaghu shared, "The idea for the song came to us while watching Dune. There was something incredibly beautiful about longing for someone who feels destined, yet can never truly be yours. That emotion stayed with us and became Mile Jo Sukoon. From the esraj to the final humming, every element was added to carry that feeling. We hope listeners find a piece of their own story in this song."
Made up of Rishabh Raghuvanshi and Sanchit Khosla, KhoslaRaghu have steadily built one of the country's most devoted independent fan communities. With songs such as Barse More Naina, Dooriyan and NaQabil, the duo has carved a space for themselves with contemporary pop rooted in honest storytelling and deeply relatable emotions.
With Mile Jo Sukoon, KhoslaRaghu continue to peel back the emotional layers of AARZU, proving that not every love story is about being together. Some are simply about the feelings that stay with you long after the moment has passed.
