Talks are abuzz that Big B starrer "Aitbaar" has been shelved because of insufficient funds.The film, also starring sultry siren Bipasha Basu and model-turned-actor John Abraham, has Amitabh Bachchan playing a fatherly figure. Its director Vikram Bhatt could only manage to shoot just a single schedule for the film, before its producer Sujit Kumar got in financial mess.

Grapevine has it that Amitabh Bachchan's initial cheque of 25 lakhs bounced even before the film went on floors. However, Big B came for the film's first shooting schedule. The financial conditions of the film's financier Mohammad Fasih became clear after this shooting schedule when even the spot boys and extras were not paid. In view of this situation Vikram Bhatt decided to shelve the film for the moment.
