Former Miss Universe Lara Dutta is likely to make her Bollywood debut opposite dashing Akshay Kumar.Lara Dutta had been reluctant to make her foray into Bollywood ever since she was crowned Miss Universe.

While producers from Bollywood kept knocking on her door, Lara rather preferred to act in a Tamil film (‘Majunu'). She also bagged a cameo role in a Hollywood film produced by famous Coen brothers. Meanwhile, she did break her resolve and agreed to act opposite Akshay Kumar in a Hindi film directed by Mani Shankar. Unfortunately, the film was shelved due to financial crisis.

Now, the grapevine has it that Lara will make her Bollywood debut opposite brawny Akshay in a film to be directed by Suneil Darshan. The yet-to-be-titled film, a romantic movie, will have music by Nadeem-Shravan.
