However, director Rohit Shetty not just missed his meeting with her; he was also caught by surprise when she consented to be a part of GOLMAAL RETURNS even though he didn't have any conversation with her about her part.
"I guess luck was on my side to have Kareena as a part of my star cast for GOLMAAL RETURNS", recollects Rohit Shetty who has given three back to back earners - ZAMEEN, GOLMAAL and SUNDAY - till date, "I was busy shooting for SUNDAY in Delhi and was quite hassled with all the stress I had to face due to the busy location of Chandni Chowk.
My producers of GOLMAAL RETURNS called me up and informed that they had set up 4'0 clock in the evening as the time for my narration with Kareena Kapoor."
As turned out to be the case, he missed the call completely.
"Seriously, I forgot all about the call I had to make and next thing I know, I received a call that Kareena was willing to be a part of the film. Apparently, someone else on my behalf explained to her about the film and she was game for it.
It was only later that I had a detailed chat with her about the part but by that time she was already on board", says Rohit who has as many as four leading ladies in the film which includes Celina Jaitley, Amrita Arora and Anjana Sukhani.
"Kareena's character is one of the most important characters in the film and I am glad that she consented to be a part of it", smiles Rohit, "She has a great fan following and my project has only become bigger due to her presence.
I am aware about good expectations that audience has from the film and I am sue they won't go home disappointed."
Amongst the male leads, Ajay Devgan, Arshad Warsi and Tusshar Kapoor make a re-entry from the original GOLMAAL while Sharman Joshi is replaced by Shreyas Talpade. The film is releasing all over on 29th October along with FASHION and EMI.
