Good news for all soap haters and the elite audiences out there.

If rumours are to be believed, after more than eight years, 'Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhie Bahu Thi' is set to go off air by the end of October.

This follows the news of the closure of yet another long running soap 'Kahani Ghar Ghar Ki'.

Reports say that Star Plus is coming up with a new line of programming to replace the mega soap.

According to sources, shares in Balaji Telefilms Ltd extended losses after the television content provider said a Star group unit has terminated sourcing and telecasting a popular television show from November 10.

The termination is a breach of contractual obligation and Balaji is pursuing all legal remedies available, sources add.

'Kyunki saas...' is one of the six programs presently being produced by Balaji for the Star group. The production house is also producing two programmes each for entertainment channels 9X and NDTV Imagine and another for Zee TV.

So there are still loads of saas bahu stuff going on. No reasons for soap lovers to mourn too!
