Hopes have crashed for Upen Patel's discotheque, Aaziaano situated at High Street Phoenix, Lower Parel. The discotheque was shut for renovation in January 2008. Buzz is that the discotheque will remain shut forever.

Sources informed that Upen wanted an African theme for his discotheque and wanted someone to take this responsibility but none of the companies or night club organizers was ready to abide by his rule.

The music which is played in the discotheques across Mumbai is mostly (hip hop/ Bollywood/trance and house) and so the organizers felt that the African theme would draw no crowd.

The club is located opposite the Marks and Spencer store in the same building as White Lounge and Lemon Grass restaurant which are also shut. It was a popular hangout for college and office-goers alike and played a mix of hip-hop, house, Bollywood and trance.

Upen will be seen in a supporting role in Ranbir-Katrina starrer Ajab Prem Ki Ghajab Kahani next year.
