Mani Ratnam and A.R. Rahman have given many a musical hits together such as Roja, Bombay, Dil Se, Yuva and most recently Guru. Everytime the famous South Indian director thinks of making a film, he can think of no one else but Rahman to compose the music for his film.

Rahman had even composed some tunes for Mani Ratnam's now shelved project Lajjo. The film was to star Aamir Khan and Kareena Kapoor in lead roles, but due to certain reasons never took off.

Now, the buzz has it that a few of the songs which Rahman had composed for Lajjo would be used by Rahman in Mani Ratnam's current project Raavana (working title).

Mani Sir, as he is fondly known as, is once again directing the famous Abhi-Ash jodi in this drama and when Rahman approached Mani with the thought of using some of his earlier composed songs (from Lajjo) in this film, Mani readily agreed.

One thing's for sure, if the music of Raavana turns out to be a chartbuster, Aamir and Kareena would surely rue their luck.
