Shahid Kapur has been a strict vegetarian for a while now. He and his ex girlfriend Kareena Kapoor had turned vegetarian when they were together.

Now that he's single, footloose and fancy free, he's plenty of time to enforce his vegetarianism on his pet.

Reportedly his pet dog is also being kept away from eating meat.

It sounds strange but true. But he never allows his dog to eat meat.

The poor carnivorous animal can't even chew on a bone as that too is forbidden.

A source reveals, "Shahid has put his doggie on a veg diet. The poor animal is not allowed to eat any sort of meat!"

Looks like Shahid takes whatever he did during his relationship with Kareena very seriously. We very understand his sentiments.

But every dog has its day. Guess, Shahid should realize that too!
