The ravishing Rani Mukherjee with a rasping voice just agreed to make it worse. She has signed on the dotted line for an upcoming soft-drink ad campaign of Fanta, owned by the cola giant Coke.

After South Indian actress Simran`s ad for the same drink did wonders for the brand in Tamil Nadu, Coca Cola feels that another popular star such as Rani will help revive the drink in North India too.

Currently Coke faces stiff competition from arch rivals Pepsico whose Mirinda is far more popular than Fanta in the orange drink category. Rani who was last seen in Adnan Sami`s Tera chehra is apparently charging a phenomenal amount to do the commercial. "I feel that the ad will be liked very much, as we all put in a lot of hard work," she is understood to have said after the shooting.
