Mehta also said in his letter that while "Aaj Ki Taaza Khabar" was a domestic comedy entirely located in one house, "Golmaal Returns", on the other hand, was a murder mystery.
Mehta further asked the law firm to provide proof of negotiations and stage of finalisation in writing with corporate companies before claiming that the banner had ruined its client's prospect of re-making "Aaj Ki Taaza Khabar" and asking for damages of Rs, 5 crores as claimed. He also said that in case a suit was filed against the banner, it would defend the same in the court of law.
