Former Miss Universe Lara Dutta has reportedly been signed to play Abhishek's love interest in producer Vishal Nihalani's film which is tentatively titled Mumbai Se Aaya Mera Dost.After biding her time for the good roles to come her way, Lara has opened her Bollywood account in a big way.

She recently clinched plum offers to act alongside Khiladi Akshay Kumar in Suneel Darshan's Andaaz and Feroz Nadiadwala's ‘Police Force'. Now it is learnt that Lara will play the ladylove of junior Bachchan in director Apoorva Lakhiya's film Mumbai Se Aaya Mera Dost.Music composer Anu Malik recently recorded a song for the film featuring singers Sonu Nigam and Alka Yagnik. The film is likely to be shot in Rajasthan.
