Tabu is having the last laugh. After the whole industry went to town with stories of her professional split with Mahesh Manjrekar ever since he signed Sushmita Sen for the English version of Astitva, her voice was not heard enough. Except when she was seen shooting for the earlier committed Manjrekar`s Pran Jaye Par Shaan Na Jaye, a multistarrer with six other actresses.

Last month she laid to rest rumours of their break-up when she sat with the director for a narration of his next film, tentatively titled Shareer, a sequel to Astitva.

She has made it a habit of sorts of doing a great film with a director and giving her all to it and then distancing herself from him, thus paving the way for others actresses to bag his other film assignments. "Creativity has no parameter with which one can measure a person`s genius but it`s a fact that one cannot be brilliant all the time," she says.Is that why you have decided to pace out your films with Manjrekar and Madhur Bhandarkar?
