For her it was rather easy to gain an entry into Bollywood since elder sis Malaika Arora Khan was an established model, VJ and actor Salman Khan`s would be bhabhi. Ask Amrita Arora about things being offered to her on a platter and she sees red. "It hasn`t been a cakewalk, I have had to struggle as much as any other actor," she laments.
The industry getting inundated with new faces every week results in some non-performers getting the boot or fading into oblivion unceremoniously. And this spunky girl, who too tasted success as a television VJ falls in neither of the two categories. Her two releases this year have been average hits and the verdict from the critics and the masses alike has been a favorable one. Then what could have gone wrong, you`d wonder.
"I am considered too much of a bachcha. From Akshay Kumar, Suneil Shetty to Sanjay Dutt, Fardeen Khan and Govinda – they all treat her like a kid, much to her annoyance. "I am a thorough professional and extend my hand to greet whereas they fold their hands with a namaste," she groans.
Enough is enough and she wouldn`t take that any more. And her first stop is nothing short of the very best – you guessed it right – Ram Gopal Varma. The baby Arora girl has requested none other than Varma to cast her in his next, to help her cast off her juvenile and unripe image. And if she gets to perform an Isha Koppiker in his film, she would sure grow overnight.
