"Honestly the film is structured in such a way that it doesn't move without Linda's character at all", says Aftab when questioned about importance of Linda's character in Aloo Chaat, "For obvious reasons, I can't get into the creative details about her presence in the film. However, what I can confirm is that she certainly adds value to the story of Aloo Chaat."
Linda has acted in films like KABUL EXPRESS and MUMBAI SALSA in the past. So what does she have to say about her third film?
"Time and often, we see so many stereotypes on people from the West. Not that Aloo Chaat doesn't get on the same lines as well. Here too the stereotype elements are touched upon but in a loving way", smiles Linda, "Robby has a knack of spinning his scenes in a light hearted manner.
So even as the scenes featured on him show how people from India look at girls from the West, it is all done in a comical way. Not to say there isn't enough meat in my role.
Once you see the film, you will realize that my character is not a put down. It merges well with the rest and makes a good contribution to the film."
Coming back to his leading ladies in the film, Aftab also has some nice words to say about Aamna Shariff.
"It was great to have Aamna as my co-star. She is a thorough professional but then honestly, who isn't in today's day and age", says Aftab, "Everyone is so competitive out there and even new comers are so professional.
It was further helpful since Aamna has been on television for so many years.
Due to this, there was no question of her being conscious at all. She wasn't nervous and I can say that maybe I learnt a thing or two from her!"
Also starring Kulbhushan Kharbanda, Manoj Pahwa and Sanjay Mishra in principal roles, this light hearted musical comedy is releasing all over on 20th March.
