Her confrontation scenes with Shah Rukh Khan in the film where she spoke more through her eyes got her a great applause from critics and audiences alike.
Now she is presently playing the title role of Rajuben, the story of the first woman gangster which is a mini series and telecast on Sony Channel. But that is not all as her career is on the upward swing with some key projects falling in her lap and many more in the offering.
"I was doing my bachelor's degree in sociology when I got my first major role in the Pakistani film Khamosh Pani which went on to win many international awards. This film was running in cinema houses directly opposite Veer Zaara which was indeed a big kick for me", a triumphant Shilpa says.
"I feel my fan base has multiplied with my appearance in Jhalak Dikhla Ja's 3rd season.
Right now I am looking forward to UTV Spotboy's film SEASON's GREETINGS, directed by Vikram Chopra and a White Popcorn Films'untitled venture, produced by Aman Miglani from Delhi. There are a few more interesting projects as well which I shall disclose when things materialize." Shilpa adds before signing off.
