Sanjay Dutt has always been mired in the controversies. From Big Bhais to illegal guns, he has seen it all. But what kept him alive was his tendency to bounce back. Dutt seems to have come into his own, doing gangster roles in film after film. Look at his recent filmography, and one would see it dotted with films, where he played the don - Vaastav, Hum Kissise Kum Nahin and Hathyar.

Coming up are more such roles - Plan and Munnabhai MBBS.Quizzed on this, he says, `I am fed up of the routine roles, which require the hero to woo the heroine, singing songs and running around the trees. I would much rather play a gangster. At least it gives me a chance to perform.`
