Director Padam Kumar who intially gave us a flop like Champion, is now promising us his latest flick, Supari which stars Uday Chopra in a different role and pitted against him is none other than thinking actress, Nadita Das. The cast of the film also includes Rahul Dev, Channel V presenter Purab and newcomer Nauheed. The music has been composed by Vishal Dadlani and Shekhar Ravjiani.
The album begins with "Teri Masti Mein Mastana - Tere Ishq Mein" which is a moderately paced number. Mahalaxmi Iyer sings it with ease. Vishal's pop background shows up in the song, and his voice is very well suited for the song. Sunidhi Chauhan sings "Chand Chahiye," with Vishal. It is a slow number and perhaps the the best song of the album too.
Shekhar sings "Chhaha" with Sunidhi and it is regular Bollywood track. Sunidhi does a good job and Shekhar fares well too. The next two Bombay songs are by Sandesh Shandilya. "Bombay Bagiyan" is sung by Hariharan and Makrand Deshpande and has interesting lyrics by Makrand himself. The second Bombay song "Bombay Town" is written by Javed akhtar and sung by KK. It is a good song to listen too. The last song of the album is "Ek Saans", a philosophical number about life and death, sung by Sukhwinder Singh. Overall, Supari is a decent situational musical album which may pick up with the release of the film.
