Academy Award winner Resul Pookutty is one dedicated sound designer. Recently, he along with his team returned from the Bahamas, not after a vacation but after capturing ‘real underwater sounds' for the film, Blue.

Blue is an underwater action film; the first of its kind in India and most of it has been shot in the Bahamas. That's why Resul thought it would be good to record on location to make it seem authentic.

Before beginning work on the background score, Resul and his team flew down to the Bahamas to get the underwater feel. They went 60 feet underwater with their equipment to capture the sounds. They then returned to India and modified the sounds to suit Blue.

The film has been made on a huge budget and stars Akshay Kumar, Sanjay Dutt and Lara Dutta. It is produced by Shri Ashtavinayak Cine Vision and according to director Anthony D'souza; they wanted a very genuine sounding film. The only way to do it was down in the ocean.
