Bollywood celebrities including Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, Priyanka Chopra and Gulzar turned out in full force to vote in the Maharashtra Assembly polls and sent a message--election is a tool of change and
don't waste your ballot.
According to onlookers, elections officials had kept Piggy Chops waiting for nearly 45 minutes before she was allowed to cast her vote. "They couldn't find her name on the list, though they finally did after a long search
and let her vote, " said an onlooker.
Later Chopra tweeted about her experience though with no complaints. She said in a tweet, "Me and my brother!!! We just voted!! Exercise ur right!!"
The stars that also included Sanjay Dutt and John Abraham came out in droves from their airconditioned homes to wait in queue patiently for their turn to vote. They hoped that the winning parties deliver all that is
promised.
Film star John Abraham, lyricist Javed Akhtar and his actress wife Shabana Azmi were among the early voters. John voted in Bandra while Akhtar and Shabana cast their ballots in Juhu.
Superstar Shah Rukh Khan and wife Gauri exercised their franchise in Bandra.
