The regular bump and grind kitsch of Bollywood doesn't excite her anymore, so our Bebo has decided to make some changes. Sit tight, next time you'd see her playing a prostitute in Pritish Nandy Communications' Chameli.
"No other role has tested my acting skills to the extent the role of a prostitute in Chameli has", she exclaims.
To put the realistic touch in the film she intends to visit 11 out of the 750 brothels that house more than 70,000 sex workers in India's commercial capital.
"I need to see this kind of existence up close and personal in order to pick up the lingo and tricks of the trade. I had to be meticulous about several details like their speech, their body language and personality as a whole", she says.
The movie plans came a cropper with the sudden demise of it's director Anant Balani but the things went back to normal when Sudhir Mishra took over the project. Set in a single rainy night, the movie tells the story of a sex worker (Kareena) and an investment banker (Rahul Bose) who gradually develops a relationship.
