It all started when dusky 23-year-old Meghna Naidu, set the music charts aflame with the steamy 'Kaliyon Ka Chaman' and what followed next is a history. Today there is no dearth of raunchy Indipop videos in which you can see semi-naked girl gyrating on the grossly butchered hindi songs.

But unlike many others Naidu got her due when she was signed by Karan Razdan to play lead role in Evershine Films (Pvt.) Ltd's Hawas – An unusual love story. "Hawas is 'inspired' by Hollywood flick 'Unfaithful' and will be shot in Dubai," says the director who has paired Grasim Mr. India Aryan Vaid opposite Meghna.

While getting ready for her daring debut, she makes no bones about her sexuality either. "Why are we so backward?", she asks.

Her say on the body exposure is, "Go to a disco or a night club, or say, a swimming pool. You do meet people wearing stuff the films show. I don't understand why there is so much hue and cry when Bollywood heroines wear these clothes. Life imitates films but it's true the other way round also."

Life has never been the same after 'Kaliyon Ka Chaman' for this Commerce graduate from Bhawan's College, Mumbai. "Music videos are only a fashion statement but the role that I play in the film is very challenging and has given me immense opportunity to perform as an actress. The film is expected to be much hotter than what you all have seen before in Bollywood", she exults.
