The comedy serial "Taarak Mehta ka Oolta Chasma" produced by Asit Kumar Modi is being bombarded with awards. A comedy serial of production house "Neela Telefilms Private Ltd" till date it is the best serial on Sony SAB.

‘Taarak Mehta ka Oolta Chasma' won two awards at Indian Television Academy Awards, 2009 (ITA). It bagged the "Best Serial-Comedy" award and Disha Vakhani won the "Best Actress-Comedy" while it bagged three awards "Best Sitcom", "Best Actor – Dilip Joshi" and "Best Actress – Disha Vakhani" at Indian Telly Awards, 2009.

This is a boost for the proud team of the show which promises to continue spreading more smiles and laughs to its viewers.
