"Not to exaggerate, I feel I have seen death literally inches away from me and it is God's grace I'm even alive today!" says Ragini.
No, there was no accident or incident that occurred at the shoot... thankfully... What Ragini is referring to is the bone chilling cold of Sikkim. "For the last 4 days, the team and I were shooting somewhere near the China border in Sikkim, and it was as cold as hell frozen over!
Just imagine a person from the normal temperature of Mumbai, going directly to -8 degree temperature... how will the person feel?"
With Mumbai not even having real winters anymore, it is quite understandable to see the actress get a chill down her spine just at the thought of her experience.
"Because of the requirement of the character, I had to dress a certain way, and couldn't even wear jackets or sweaters during the shots and half of the time I used to wonder whether I would ever get the sensation back in my fingers and toes!
Fortunately, everything went smoothly and nothing bad happened to anyone... but because of this experience, I have started taking my life more seriously and also valuing it. This incident has made me wise in the real sense, " adds a thoughtful Ragini.
Well, sometimes it takes an out-of-body experience to change one's perspective on life. Talking about the shoot, she excitedly said, "Everything is looking really nice and I can't wait for the show to come on air. Only a few days left to go!" signs off Ragini.
‘Sasural Genda Phool' hits the air on March 1st. In the meantime, we're sure that at least for a few days, Ragini will appreciate Mumbai's weather!
