If Duryodhan from the famous epic 'Mahabharat' had to pick one of our Bollywood hunk, he'd definitely chose the brawny as well as the most bratty guy available in town and that is what he has exactly done.
The famous Duryodhan from B.R.Chopra's epic tele-series 'Mahabharat', Puneet Issar, has turned director and he has roped in his dear friend Salman to play the lead role in his film Garv - Pride and Honour.
Garv narrates the story of Police officer Arjun Ranawat (Salman Khan) and his compatriot Samar Singh (Amrish Puri), Hyder Ali (Arbaaz Khan) and their 'Special Task Force Team'.
In a city where corruption has become the order of the day and ethics a thing of the past, Arjun Ranawat and Hyder Ali, under the spirited guidance of Samar Singh, take up cudgels against the underworld and defy the dictates of the prescribed line of law, thus eliminating several of the 'wanted', under the line of fire.
This result in creating a panic like situation for powerful people connected, not only to the power-center of Mumbai, but even beyond the national boundaries, resulting in a high tension, action packed drama.
At the same time, Arjun Ranawat has a family crisis. His mother (Farida Jalal) and sister (Akanksha) are targeted as a measure of revenge by the opposition. This is the last straw for Arjun. He becomes a law unto himself!
Shilpa Shetty, plays the love interest of Salman in the film and provides the staple diet of song and dance.
Sajid-Wajid and Anu Malik jointly share the credit for composing the music for the film. Produced under the banner of Cinevistaa Garv's star cast also include in Anupam Kher, Mukesh Rishi, Govind Namdeo, Anant Jogue, Mohan Joshi in the major roles.
