While you were smirking at the gay jokes in 'Kal Ho Na Ho', some people in Bollywood were taking serious note of it and started work on it like a hurricane. Just after a couple of months, they have come up with their own concept of making the audience happy. And they even shot it in 26 days flat.
Get ready for a new breed of entertainment, where genders hold no bars. But they guys are smart. They know that two men making love will hardly get them any women audience, so they have decided to tap every man's fantasy.
They chose the fairer sex to get dirty on screen and ring their cash registers soaring.
Pioneering the concept on a commercial level is Karan Razdan (Hawas de-fame). And the chics in action; Isha Koppikar and Amrita Arora. The movie is aptly titled, 'Girlfriend' and ready to hit you and the screen. So no need to drool so much.
If you'll listen carefully to Razdan, he'll tell you that every masterpiece is bound to get some phony imitations as well.
Ahem... He is talking about Shrey Shrivastav's 'Men Not Allowed', which has just hit the floors.
Here chics in action; Payal Rohatgi, an engineer by profession and the 'heavily breathing' item girl from 'Police Force' and Monica Castelino, a child artiste in 'Khauff' and 'Kaalia' (Kids just grow up so fast don't they?).
Unlike Razdan, who has a creative mind, Shrivastav actually has lesbian friends, who lend realism to his movie.
"One of the girls is in the film industry, ditto for her father. The other girl has also been a part of the industry. I cannot tell you who they are," he says. Both the girls are aware that Shrivastav is making a film on their lives. "They have no problem, as long as they are not unmasked," he claims.
We don't know about Razdan, Shrey, but people definitely have no problem with your film. The dirtier the better. After all Bollywood is getting bolder. Isn't it?
