Akshay Kumar and his buddies head for cricket and celebration minus the wives

While most people celebrate success by throwing parties, workaholic Akshay Kumar is celebrating his big hit (after four duds) by heading to Barbados. Some of his close friends from Canada, where he is currently shooting for Thank You, will accompany him.

The actor has been shooting non-stop for the last couple of months completing his films like Farah Khan's Tees Maar Khan, Nikhil Advani's Patiala House and Anees Bazmee's Thank You. He has now decided to take a short break.

Missing the action
An avid cricket fan, Akki is especially kicked about the ongoing T20 World Cup in Barbados. He was missing the matches as he has been shooting in Vancouver. One fine morning he decided to gather all his close friends and fly them down to Barbados to watch one of the matches, even though India is now out of the running.

Khiladi Kumar has hired a private jet for the trip. A source reveals, "Akshay is not sparing any expense. He wants his friends to have a grand time. The band of boys will spend four days there at one of the most luxurious five-star hotels. The actor's best friend Ajay Virmani, joins him from Toronto, with his son."

Party hearty
The source continues, "Akki's friends were pushing him to have a party to celebrate the success of his last release Housefull, and he made this plan and surprised them. It will be a non-stop party for four days. Last year Tina and Aarav had accompanied him to the T20 tournament, this time it will be an all-boy's treat."

Says Akshay, "I have been working round the clock and thought that it was about time that I had a break so I decided to come to Barbados to watch the T20 matches and celebrate with my friends."
