Imran Khan and Sonam Kapoor-starrer "I Hate Love Storys" seems to have struck a chord with the youth even before its release - it has earned 5, 505 fans on Facebook and 1, 203 followers on Twitter in seven days.

The overwhelming response prompted Sonam to write on Twitter: "Thank you guys for the great response to the ihls promotional stuff... its really heartening."

Imran, who had unveiled the first look of the film on his Twitter page, also tweeted: "Just want to thank you all for the amazing response to the first look of IHLS. I'm glad you liked it, and I do hope you'll like the film."

Produced by Karan Johar for his banner Dharma Productions and directed by Manish Malhotra's nephew Punit, the film is slated to release July 2.

In the film, Imran plays Jay, who hates love stories, and Sonam will be seen as Simran, who believes that life without love is like a tree without blossoms.
