For the past couple of months, it's been a hard time for film celebrities as Tamil activists from various parts of India have been involved in protests, insisting them not to take part in IIFA 2010 to be held in Colombo.

Followed by Amitabh Bachchan, Manirathnam and others, it was the turn against Kamal Haasan by the Tamil activists as they uttered words of protest against the actor.

During this meet that was held outside the office of Kamal Haasan, they persistently kept mentioning that Kamal Haasan should give away the post of Federation of Indian Commerce and Industry President and return the title of Padmashree to the Government of India as well.

In context to this, Kamal Haasan had blatantly mentioned that he wouldn't take part in IIFA as he never graced over such occasion held before. He also mentioned that none of the members in FICCI would either take part in this awards ceremony held in Colombo next month (June 4).
