We've been hearing since ages, 'All is fair in love and war', but whether love really brings out the rebel in you, remains a million dollar question. Sorry, Romeo and Juliet are dead but we've got Gujarati ben Amisha, instead, to solve your conundrum.
Amisha is woman of the moment to answer such a cardinal question. And her answer is YES.
The 29-year-old actress has just moved out of her parental home and sued her own mommy-daddy for Rs 12 crore. Poor Amit and Asha patel, who were unhappy about their daughter's alleged link with Vikram Bhatt and threatening to severe all ties with her, got the shock of their life when Patel lass slapped the legal notice against them.
"My daughter is from a reputed family and has been brought up accordingly. It's obvious that she's been misguided and blinded by Vikram Bhatt. He has the gift of gab," says mommy dearest angrily and adds, "Even if we have taken the money, or if she's given it to us, what's the big deal? Don't parents have that much right?"
Her only contention is, "What about the money that took care of her secretary, driver etc? I even bought her a house in the suburbs. If she can go to such an extent, why shouldn't we calculate the cost of her lavish upbringing?"
But love knows no arguments. It thinks from the heart and the moment anyone tries to jeopardise the relationship, you see the similar reactions.
"I don't know what she is talking about. And I don't care what my mother has to say. Nobody is guiding me," says love struck Amisha.
According to her: "Just five months ago, I discovered that they've all that I had earned over the past five years and was being used in their business. I did try to come to an understanding but they didn't behave too well with me. I was left with no option but to start legal proceedings against my own parents."
But mommy is still hopeful that her daughter will break-up the evil nexus and come back.
"She is an adult now, that's why she is rebelling. But it's a matter of time, and she will be back with us soon. Vikram's history is not hidden from anybody," she says.
