Don't be surprised if you see Imran Khan at a multiplex's popcorn counter this weekend asking you your choice -- salted, cheese, caramel or a mix of all -- and whether you like it large, medium or small in size!
Taking a cue from his mamujaan's film marketing brains, Imran Khan has already chalked out the post-release promotions of his flick I Hate Luv Storys which releases tomorrow. He knows it is equally important to promote a movie after it releases.
As part of his plan, the actor along with producer Karan Johar will go behind the counter at theatres across the city selling popcorn and movie tickets!
Hard sell
"I'd rather sell more of tickets than popcorn. That's more important, " admits Imran. Co-star Sonam Kapoor is also slated to accompany them.
Explains Imran, "For the last few weeks Sonam and I have been travelling across the country as well as abroad for the film's promotions. We have been talking a lot. We have said what we had to about the movie, our roles and experiences shooting for it as well as about the music."
He adds, "Our visibility should not lead to fatigue, so we have now to come up with a new way to continue promoting the film. There is no point doing what we have been doing in the run-up to the release for the past several days."
The star nephew will be visiting multiplexes and theatres across the city on Saturday all day. "We will begin in the morning when the first show starts and continue till the last show ends."
He will also interact with the audience, sign autographs on movie tickets as well as pose for snapshots with fans besides getting a first-hand reaction about the movie from them.
