Films are the inspiration for TV shows. That's why most producers come up with shows that bear resemblance to one Bollywood film or the other. If Swastik Pictures was inspired by Muqqadar Ka Sikander for their new show, then DJ's now want to make a Devdas out of Iqbal.

If sources are to be believed, Shreya Creations, makers of 'Bhagyavidhata', are coming up with a show that is similar to the Shahid-Kapur-Kareena Kapoor, starrer blockbuster Jab We met.

"Shreya Creations are producing a daily for Star Plus. The plot is similar to that of Jab We met. It's the story of a girl who runs away from home on the eve of her marriage as she's in love with another guy. She will then bump into an anonymous guy, much like the film. Auditions for the main leads are on. The show will take sometime to go on air," said a source.

Producer Sheel Kumar though denied the news. "I don't know where you get to hear such rumours from. We're producing a show for that particular channel but not with the same concept."
