The singer-turned-actor lists his pick of flicks..

Don: I have watched the Yeh Hai Bambai Nagaria track in the movie (rendered by my musical idol Kishore Kumar) 100 times. I happened to be visiting the city and we were staying at a hotel near the Gateway of India when we came to know that the Big B was shooting in the vicinity.

Everyone rushed to the spot. Perched on my dad's lap, I watched the shoot of the song. Even today I rewind the song and see if the camera caught my dad and me in the crowd scene.

Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak: I went to watch it after our school Board exams. Everything about the film was perfect and seemed logical. I shocked myself by being teary-eyed. Luckily it wasn't embarrassing because everyone around me was crying too.

Blame It On Rio: A group of us bunked college and it was such an exhilarating experience. Till today, I am not sure if I am in love with Brazil for their football or for what I saw on the beaches of Rio de Janerio in the film. Blame it on Rio, not me.

Nadiya Ke Paar: The film introduced me to a forbidden something called romance and for the first time, I wished there was love around me. I searched for someone to whom I could sing Bade Achchhe Lagte Hain...

Nayak: The legendary Satyajit Ray's Bengali film with the great Uttam Kumar. It epitomised the ambitions and subsequent insecurities of a commoner. I have watched the film a zillion times. Its dialogues inspired me to leave a secure bank job in Kolkata and move to Mumbai to pursue my musical aspirations.
