The girls, who swoon over Abhishek Bachchan never had it so good. It is Abhishek versus
Abhishek this week as two of his films "Dhoom" and "Phir Milenge" hit the marquee.
"The reason I did "Phir Milenge" was that as an artiste I feel it is our social responsibility to try and
make a difference through the images we enjoy. I wanted to do something for the AIDS cause and
that's why I signed this film. It is a sensible film which will make people think and perhaps even urge
them to do something about this issue," said Abhishek.
Abhishek plays Tarun who is a lawyer and enjoys his profession. This is also the first time that
Abhishek has worked with a lady director.
"Revathy is someone who works from heart - the crew was predominantly female. Having a woman's
perspective for a woman-oriented film like this becomes very unique."
"Shilpa is amazing in this film. For a change I had an actress who matched my height and I did not
have to bend so much. So that felt good for a change," he laughed.
Abhishek can also be seen scorching the screen these days with his item numer in 'Rakht' and guess
what even the British band 'Blue' is excited about -- the "On Love" video.
"The band members really like the look of the video. We are planning to bring the band to India for one
of the MTV awards and perhaps even unite Blue, Sonu Nigam and Abhishek," says Shammir Tandon
of Virgin Records.
