Ghazal maestro Jagjit Singh dubbed for an animation film "Baru-The Wonder Kid" and says this is his first
experience of giving a voiceover and that he loved it as he enjoys working for kids.
"I really enjoyed it. This is the first time that I have done something beyond singing. In any case, I enjoy working for
kids. Dubbing dialogues was definitely fun and emoting the role of dadaji was great," said Singh.
"Baru-The Wonder Kid" revolves around a 12-year-old orphan boy and his courageous journey to free his sister from
the clutches of a devil Prince. Co-produced by Vishnu Manohar and Prabhakar Shukla, the film is directed by Sachin
Gote and will hit screens in October.
"I have worked with Jagjit-ji earlier. He sang a song in my first film 'Gudiya' and was kind enough to agree to dub for
'Baru...'. He asked to be the narrator, saying that he knows how grand fathers speak. He did it as goodwill for kids
and didn't charge even a penny for the work," said Prabhakar Shukla in a statement.
Besides Singh, others who have dubbed for "Baru - The Wonder Kid" are Sharad Kelkar, Vrajesh Hirjee and Nandu
Madhav.
