After the mega success of Gadar-Ek Prem Katha , Bollywood actress Amisha Patel is playing the pop singer in her forthcoming movie.Yeh Zindagi Ka Safar is a small- budget film by director Tanuja Chandra starring Patel with newcomer Jimmy Shergill cast in the romantic lead as an unscrupulous newspaper editor.

The story is about a singer who learns from a newspaper article that her parents had adopted her and launches a search for the mother, who abandoned her as a child.The editor has dug out juicy secrets from her past to boost the sales of his paper. Eventually, he turns over a new leaf and falls in love with the singer when he realizes that to publish the truth in the newspaper is a responsible job.Patel plays the shattered woman in search of her mother and discovers the bitter truth of her past. The movie`s screenplay has been written by Mahesh Bhatt.
