Malayalam film megastar Mammootty is making his debut in the Kannada film industry with the bilingual movie 'Shikari'.
21-year-old Punjabi girl Poonam Bajwa is also joining him in this movie.
Poonam has earlier acted as a heroine in Telugu and Tamil films. She will be playing the heroine in both the Kannada and
Malayalam versions of the film.
In the Malayalam version, the film will have a different title because this title has already been used for a Malayalam film
which starred Mohanlal.
Poonam Bajwa debuted in the Kannada film industry with the film 'Thangigaagi', in which she played sister to actor
Darshan. She has also acted in films like 'Boss I Love You', 'Kacheri Arambam', 'Tenavattu', 'Thambikottai', 'Premante',
'Veduka' and 'Paragu'.
Director Abhay Simha has already completed shooting the second schedule of this bilingual film near Thirthahalli. It is
being produced by K Manju. It had a 26 days long schedule and the main portions have already been completed.
Abhay Simha is yet to complete 15 more days of shoot for this movie. The final schedule of Shikari will be done in Mysore
in November.
The music of the film has been scored by V Harikrishna. The villain of the movie is Malayalam actor Innocent. The
supporting roles are being played by Mohan, Aditya, Ninasam Ashwath, Achyuth, Sharath Lohitashva and others.
