PS: Meanwhile, sets up music company that will also produce films later
Himesh Reshammiya has decided to be extra cautious about his next release, Ishq Unplugged after his film Kajraa Re was given a DVD release in stead of a proper big screen release last week by producer T-Series.
His next, a Studio 18 project, stars the singer-turned-actor with Sonal Sehgal and Purbi Joshi.
A romantic saga, the movie marks the big screen directorial debut of Sapna Joshi Waghmare, who has made several television serials.
Music provider
At the same time, the Jhalak Dikkla Jaa crooner is also setting up HR Musik Limited, a music content providing company which will publish music, launch music artistes and also produce feature films and music albums in-house.
Himesh confirms, "Yes, Ishq Unplugged will be my next release and I am looking forward to it. I am also setting up my own production unit with plans to make films."
Years ago, before he turned composer-singer, he helmed a television production unit and made serials. "I was only 16 then but now I want to make movies!" he says.
Considering how his last film, Kajraa Re was suddenly released in a single theatre in Mumbai, he is keen that things go right for him.
Says a source, "Neither Himesh nor director Pooja Bhatt were aware that Kajraa Re had released till noon " when the first show had already started.
Producer Bhushan Kumar made the decision, which took them completely unawares. As a result Himesh wants to be in the know and involved about his next big screen outing.
Ishq Unplugged has been complete and now they are looking at the next step its release date."
