Oscar winning sound designer Resul Pookutty, who will soon debut as a director in Bollywood, has reportedly roped in actor Amitabh Bachchan in his directorial venture.

Though Resul Pookutty has been involved in only international projects in the past, he had always been keen to get a Bollywood release for his debut film, and has been working on the project for quite some time now. In a statement to the media, Resul Pookutty confirms that his upcoming film is based on a father – son relationship. However it has not been confirmed as of yet as to who will be playing Big B's son in the film.

Resul Pookutty is presently busy with work on 'The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel', his second international venture, and says that he is very excited about working with director John Madden of the 'Shakespeare In Love' fame.

He has always been a fan of the works of John Madden, says the sound designer to the media, and therefore to be a part of his dream director's unit itself is a dream come true for him. Resul Pookutty will be involved in sound mixing for 'The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel'.

His debut venture in Bollywood was always written keeping Amitabh Bachchan in mind, signs off the Oscar winner.
