To act in and co-produce Farhan's film

Aamir Khan finally ended all speculation and signed his next film -- to be directed by Reema Kagti (of Honeymoon Travels Pvt Ltd fame). He will also co-produce the film Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani's Excel Entertainment. This is the first film Aamir has signed since he agreed to do wife Kiran's Dhobi Ghat around two years ago.

After the release of 3 Idiots, the actor had said several times that he has been busy reading scripts for many months but is yet to decide which to choose.

In the end he chose Reema's script. B-Town had been buzzing with news that Aamir was expected to sign Karan Johar's untitled next, or Aditya Chopra's Dhoom 3 or Anurag Kashyap's Bombay Dreams or the next films of Rajkumar Santoshi and John Matthew Mathan.

Aamir and Farhan had teamed up earlier for Dil Chahta Hai in 2001.
