Tollywood heroine Shraddha Das is not prepared to star in films which portray her as the second lead anymore.
The girl is presently on cloud nine as she is working with ace Bollywood director Madhur Bhandarkar and has made it
clear to producers down south that if they want to take Shraddha Das in their next film, she will have to be cast as the film's
lead heroine.
In a recent statement to the media after completing work on Madhur Bhandarkar's Dil To Bachcha
Hai Ji, the South Indian actress says that since she has already worked as one of the lead stars in a Bollywood film, it does
not make sense for her to go back to playing supporting actress roles in Telugu ventures.
Though Shraddha Das debuted with Tollywood film and has worked in a couple of Telugu flicks post her debut, it was through
her Hindi film debut in Lahore that the actress gained countrywide acclamation.
Though Lahore was not a
commercial hit, it won the attention of the critics and also went on to win the National Award. It was from here that she was
noticed by director Madhur Bhandarkar, says Shraddha Das.
The actress has not signed any Bollywood venture after Dil To Bachcha Hai Ji and she is also waiting for a meaty role to
land up in her lap in Tollywood. Dil To Bachcha Hai Ji also stars Ajay Devgn, Emraan Hashmi and Shruti Haasan in lead
roles.
