Anil Kapoor will soon be 51 years of age but there is no stopping him from playing the lead role in several Bollywood projects
next year. But why is it that Anil Kapoor is opting to act in only sequels of his previous films?
Is it because of the
fact that a director does not want to cast him in other films or is it because Bollywood is suffering from a story crunch? One look
at the list of films that Anil Kapoor makes an appearance in the year 2011 and you will be confirmed about the fact that it is only
sequels that the veteran actor will be a part of next year.
First comes the sequel to the 2005 hit No Entry. In fact the 2011 film will be titled Be Positive - No Entry Part 2, keeping in mind
the popular saying of Anil Kapoor's character in the previous venture.
Next in the pipeline is another Boney Kapoor
production. This is the sequel to the very popular Shekhar Kapur film Mr India. Though the ace director will no longer be part of
the crew, the sequel is expected to generate just as much interest as its prequel generated in the 1980s.
Anil
Kapoor revives his role, but the star attraction will be Salman Khan who plays villain in the Mr India sequel. And of course we
have the sequel to the Abbas - Mustan thriller Race, where Anil Kapoor plays the funny cop.
As if Bollywood sequels were not enough, Anil Kapoor has also ventured into the Hollywood domain with the next version of
'Mission Impossible' where he gets to rub shoulders with Tom Cruise. So it is sequels all the way for Anil Kapoor next year.
