Ajay Devgn was awarded the actor of the year trophy at the Indian of the Year Awards 2010 held in New Delhi to honour India's finest achievers.

Accepting the award for his film Raajneeti, the actor said, "Bollywood has its share of people both that play politics and those that don't play any. Its scary being a politician.

Rajneeti was a script. Politicians don't go around killing people as they did in the film," Ajay was presented the award by Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar
