"Manu is very silent and shy guy whereas I am a complete opposite in real life. So I had to give up all the heroics and exercise a lot of control on myself, which was really tough for me, " Madhavan, who was at the PVR BluO in Ambience Mall here to promote his film, told.
He has teamed up with Kangana Ranaut in director Anand Rai's film that releases Friday. The director and his co-star were with him.
A superstar of Tamil cinema, Madhavan made his Bollywood debut with "Rehna Hai Tere Dil Mein" and later went on to do films like "Dil Vil Pyar Vyar", "13B", "Rang De Basanti", "Guru" among others. His last "3 Idiots", which had Aamir Khan in the lead, was also a blockbuster and the actor admits he has become choosy about his work.
"I am fortunate enough to have worked with really good directors and good films so the standards have been set high. I am choosy because I don't give people a chance to criticize me, " he said.
