The phrase 'stepping into dad's shoes' can't get more real than this. Shakti Kapoor's son Siddhant Kapoor is gearing up to get into his dad's boots in Soham Shah's Satte Pe Satte remake. It's a casting coup of sorts.
Contrary to reports that Siddhant will make his Bollywood debut with a Yash Raj Film, the 28-year-old lad is foraying into films with the Satte Pe Satta remake co-produced by Ashtavinayak and Sanjay Dutt productions.
A reliable industry source reveals, "Siddhant Kapoor is doing the same role his dad essayed in the original film.
But, as the film is being adapted to suit today's time, Siddhant's role will also be made contemporary although the essence will remain the same."
Shakti Kapoor played one of the six brothers of Amitabh Bachchan, who was rowdy in nature. "The producers were looking for a suitable guy for Shakti's role and someone happen to mention Siddhant name.
When Soham saw some of Siddhant pictures on a social networking site, it reminded him of Shakti Kapoor from Satte Pe Satta.
The auditions only confirmed Soham and the producer's belief that he suited the role to the tee, " he said.
