Two-film-old Prateik feels that communicating through his characters is much better than boasting about what all he has done.

"Prateik has decided that he'll speak through his characters, as it is his work that he is most passionate about, and it is that aspect that he wants to focus on, " said a source.

The 24-year-old made his debut with Aamir Khan's production venture "Jaane Tu...Ya Jaane Naa" and was last seen in "Dhobi Ghat". Prateik will now be seen in Rohan Sippy's "Dum Maaro Dum" which releases Friday.

"Prateik is an extremely shy boy, if he's alone with someone, and has the time to bond, you'll see him talking nineteen to the dozen, but as a person he needs time to break the ice, and thus he is not very forthcoming with the media, " the source added.
