Superstar Rajinikanth, who was admitted to a Chennai hospital after a bout of vomiting, has been discharged, said doctors on Saturday.

Rajinikanth was admitted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of St. Isabel Hospital in Chennai on Friday, hours after giving the 'mahurat' shot for his new film 'Rana'.

His wife Latha said he started vomiting after breakfast and hence was taken to the hospital. However, she assured that there was no need to panic.

Tamil Nadu chief minister M Karunanidhi and his daughter Kanimozhi paid a visit to the 60-year-old actor at the hospital on Friday.
